Meanwhile we have tested more than 1.500 samples mainly eggs, and egg products for Fipronil, when another suspicious active Amitraz caused some attention.
Already in the RASSF notice in July the Belgium authorities reported the finding of Amitraz in eggs that have been in contact with the disinfectant Dega-16 which has been the source for the Fipronil scandal.
The previously reported result was at the LOQ-level, and has not been verified later with other samples. However due to a recent report in the media Amitraz popped up again.
Initiated by one of our clients we set up method modification within 48 hours and can now offer a package solution that determines Fipronil and Amitraz with its metabolites in one analytical run – reliable and fairy priced.
The Limit of quantification for Fipronil is 0,005 mg/kg for Amitraz 0,01 mg/kg.
We would be please to provide you with a tailored offer.
