The Instrumental Analysis Laboratory of AGROLAB Polska has again extended the list of plant protection product residues within the flexible range.
In 2020, European Food Safety Authority EFSA established new limits for perchlorate in certain food products by European Union Regulation 2020/685. Perchlorate can enter food through nitrogenous fertilisers used in agriculture, industrial residues or products used to treat drinking water. In addition, it can enter groundwater through precipitation.
Maleic acid hydrazide is a compound used as a plant growth regulator and in the storage of vegetables, mainly potatoes and onions, to prevent sprouting.
YOUR PLUS: AGROLAB Poland performs the determination of chlorate, perchlorate and maleic hydrazide residues in fruit and vegetables. The test is performed using the LC-MSMS method and the LOQ is 0.01 mg/kg.
