Threat of withdrawal of approval for PPP active ingredient alpha-cypermethrin

Insecticidal active ingredient alpha-cypermethrin may soon no longer be used.

Initially, an extension of the approval for the active ingredient for alpha-cypermethrin (CAS No. 67375-30-8) was planned until Oct. 31, 2026.

Therefore, the decision to withdraw the approval came as quite a surprise and was justified by the fact that the applicant had not submitted the required documents for reviewing the application in time. A ban on the application is now expected within the next few months. We will keep you informed.
