According to studies by German BfR (Federal Institute for Risk Assessment) the number of food-borne diseases caused by virus, steadily increases.
For instance Hepatitis E has been transmitted more often via infected pigs and game. Also cases of food-borne infection by Norovirus and Hepatitis A went up. Although the test methods for virus detection improved during the past years, there still exist comprehensive needs for further research with respect to transmission and how to avoid dissemination.
Good to know: Our AGROLAB GROUP Laboratory Dr. Blasy-Dr.Busse in Eching am Ammersee has implemented the highest safety standards and holds the official approval by the authorities to handle viruses and can offers testing of food stuff.
